First and third Tuesdays, beginning September 15, 7:00pm

Looking for an opportunity to dig a little deeper into Scripture and explore your faith with others? Maria de Ris and Eric Bridgham will lead Bible Study on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m., beginning September 15.

​Join us in person at St. Mark’s or on Zoom for conversation, reflection, questions, and fellowship. Whether you know the Bible well or are just curious to learn more, all are welcome. No experience or preparation required, just come as you are!

A little reminder from home can mean a lot when you are away at school! This October, the Outreach Committee will once again send care packages filled with treats and a little St. Mark’s love to our college students and other young adults continuing their education or training after high school. We want to make sure no one is missed. 

If you have a student who would enjoy receiving a care package, please send their name to the church office by September 8. We will follow up to confirm current mailing addresses before the packages are sent in October.

Help us remind our young adults that wherever their next chapter has taken them, their St. Mark’s family is still thinking of them and cheering them on!

What a summer it has been for Mini Jesus! For His final week on the road, He explored a little history at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, visited Rittenhouse Square and Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church, marveled at the Longaberger Basket HQ in Ohio, relaxed by the pool, and headed into the hills for some hiking at Bousquet Mountain, MA.

All summer long, Mini Jesus has traveled near and far with members of our St. Mark's family, reminding us that Jesus does not stay inside the church. He goes with us into our communities, on vacation, into nature, around the dinner table, and into all the ordinary and extraordinary places our lives take us.

While our summer adventures are coming to an end, Jesus Has Left the Building is not quite finished yet! We have something special planned to celebrate all the places Mini Jesus has been. Join us at the Welcome Back Brunch for the grand finale. You will not want to miss it!

Wednesday, September 9, 7:30pm on Zoom 

Bring your knitting, crocheting, or other crafting projects and join us for a time of creativity, fellowship, and conversation. Enjoy dedicated time to working on your projects, share ideas, and connect with friends old and new. All skill levels are welcome.

Friday, September 11, 4:00-6:00pm – Katie Metcalf’s home

The St. Mark's Book Club is kicking off the fall with good conversation, good food, and plenty of fellowship, and you do not need to have read the book to join us! We will gather at Katie Metcalf’s home in Norton to discuss Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult. Whether you loved it, have not finished it, never started it, or simply want to spend some time with friends, you are welcome. If you plan to attend, please contact Katie and indicate whether you would like to bring an appetizer, dessert, fruit, or drinks.
 
Looking ahead, our October selection will be Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, with the meeting date to be decided at our first meeting. And we are always looking for our next great read! If you have enjoyed a book recently or have one that has been recommended to you, bring your suggestions along or send them in before the September gathering.
