With Easter approaching, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the St. Mark’s community and the hope we share in the Resurrection. In this season of renewal, as we rebuild, welcome new faces, and discern God’s vision for our future, your presence and prayers mean so much.

We hope you will join us for our Easter services and consider making a special gift in celebration of the season. Donations may be made online by CLICKING HERE, by mail, or brought with you to any of our Easter services.

Your generosity supports our worship, outreach, and pastoral care, helping St. Mark’s remain a place of welcome, connection, and compassion for all. Together, we continue to nurture something faithful and life-giving for the days ahead. Thank you.

A NoteĀ  from the Director of Music, Esther Zabinski

Hello, St. Mark’s parishioners and visitors! This is actually the first time I’ve written for our weekly email, even though I’ve been the Director of Music here since 2012. I started out as a substitute, liked it so much, and decided to stay! I’m hoping to write more often going forward—to keep you updated and maybe spark a little interest in the music we choose each week for worship.

Some of you may remember that last fall Bob Chappuis brought his drum set into Sunday worship. The response was enthusiastic, so we’re planning another folk/rock style service this coming Sunday, March 1. You’ll hear a couple of hymns that are new to us: All That We Have by Gary Ault, and I Heard the Lord by Jacob Krieger.

As we head into Lent, I’ll also be introducing a new Gospel Acclamation, Turn to Me by John Foley, along with a new Mass setting for the Sanctus and the Fraction Anthem. These come from the Glendalough Mass by Liam Lawton, a setting that “fuses the rich tradition of Celtic folk music with a contemporary Irish feel.” We’ll be using these pieces throughout the Lenten season.

I hope you enjoy these musical offerings! And as always, everyone is welcome to join the Senior Choir—we meet Wednesdays from 7–8 p.m. If you’re interested in the bell choir, just come find me after any Sunday service.

Timeless Encounters During the Passion of Christ - Lenten Study Series

3/16/2026

Picture
Tuesday, March 24th, 7:00-8:30pm, at St. Mark’s or on Zoom

This week's final installment will have Maria de Ris guiding us in the exploration of powerful moments along Jesus’ journey to the cross. Our discussion will feature the faithful and fearful witnesses at the cross.

Through passages of the Scriptures, paintings, reflections, and conversations, we will consider how these sacred encounters speak to our own discipleship today. Join us as we walk more deeply into the mystery of Christ’s Passion and prepare our hearts for Holy Week. Join us in person or on Zoom.
