A Regional Canon Visit and a farewell to loved ones!

Picture
Our Regional Canon, The Rev. Kelly O'Connell will visit St. Mark's & Trinity on Sunday, June 8, 2025 -- The Feast of Pentecost! We will have a combined 10am service at St. Mark's that day, followed by coffee & fellowship and then Cn. Kelly will meet with the vestries of both congregations.

We will also bid Godspeed to Christine Smith, Cindy Bergevine, and Kevin Bergevine on their last Sunday with us before they relocate to Paris...Maine. Come and join in showering them with love and some St. Mark's swag.

Please plan to be there!

St. Mark's to host Deanery Confirmation

4/27/2025

Picture
This year, services of the Right of Confirmation will be hosted by each deanery. (What is a deanery?) St. Mark's will be the host site for the Confirmation Service in the Taunton River Deanery on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:30am.

Michael and Charlie Lamb, along with others from the deanery and throughout the diocese, will affirm for themselves the promises made on their behalf in the baptisms.

If you are an adult who:
  • has not gone through the Rite of Confirmation (regardless of the denomination in which you were baptized) and would like to;
  • has gone through the Rite of Confirmation in the Episcopal church and would like to renew your vows;
  • was Baptized/Confirmed in another denomination and would like to be Received into the Episcopal Church; and/or
  • has questions about any of these options --
please speak with Rev. Lauren; there is still time to arrange for this to happen at the June 28 service.

Grief Support Group

4/26/2025

Picture
Sometimes we just need to spend time with others who "know" or have "been there". If you have experienced the death of a loved one -- recently or years ago -- you are invited and welcome to a recently formed mutual support group at Trinity Church, Wrentham.

Food and fellowship provided. Share as much or as little as feels helpful and healing. Questions? Contact Irene Levesque

Lay Eucharistic Visitor Training

Lay Eucharistic Visitor Training -- Bring Communion to the homebound and in hospital.

Three Saturday morning Eucharistic Visitor trainings are being offered this spring in partnership with the St. Paul Center for Theology and Prayer. Eucharistic Visitors extend the altar to include those who are homebound or in the hospital. This important pastoral and liturgical ministry is offered by adult lay members of the congregation who are certified by the diocese.

In order to be certified, Eucharistic Visitors must complete Safe Church training, be nominated by their priest, and attend a diocesan-approved training. Trainings are scheduled 9am - 12pm on:
  • April 26 at Grace Church in Medford;
  • May 3 at St. David's Church in South Yarmouth; and
  • May 10 at the Church of Our Redeemer in Lexington.
Register here or contact the parish office with your preferred date.
