The Longest Night: A Service of Healing and Hope

11/30/2024

Picture
Wednesday, December 18, 7pm at Trinity Church, Wrentham

A special offering in the days approaching Christmas: music, prayers, and candlelight intended to hold a space for any who find this holiday season to be painful or difficult, while offering the hope of light and peace.

enaissance Men (renmenmusic.com) will again be the guest musicians for the evening.

Intergenerational Jesse Tree Ornament Crafting

11/24/2024

Picture
Sunday, December 1 after worship. Come help St. Mark's mark the time of the four weeks of Advent before Christmas. The ornaments of the Jesse tree tell the story of God in the Old Testament, connecting the Advent season with the faithfulness of God across four thousand years of history. The Jesse tree was created to help people link the custom of decorating Christmas trees to the events leading up to Jesus birth.

Jesse Trees are one of many ways Christian households can choose to mark time during this season of shorter days and longer nights as we await the birth of the Christ child.

Don't have a Jesse Tree at home? Here are some ideas about other ways to calendar the Season of Advent.

Caregiver "Tea Talk"

11/22/2024

Picture
Friday, November 29, 4pm-5pm (Zoom). All who care for a loved one -- at St. Mark's and beyond -- are invited to take this hour to sit down, breathe, talk with others in a caregiving role, and gather energy to sustain the sacred care work we do.

We will gather on Zoom to enable access for people who need to be available to help at home, or who are traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday. Join for a little "us time". Contact Caroline Hunter for more info.
