Financial Assistance for Summer Camps

5/10/2026

Picture
As part of our commitment to supporting families in our parish, we’re offering financial help for summer camp programs to those who may need it.
Many camps provide their own scholarships, but we want to be sure every child in our community has the chance to enjoy these experiences. If financial support would make camp more accessible for your family, please reach out to Rev. Cathy. All conversations are confidential.

Have you thought about the Barbara C. Harris Camp in New Hampshire? It’s a vibrant Episcopal camp set on hundreds of acres of woods and lakefront, and it’s a place where kids can really breathe, explore, and belong.
The camp offers both overnight and day programs, blending outdoor adventure, creative activities, and a strong sense of community. It’s a space where nature, spirit, and friendships come together in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Camperships are widely available, and no family is ever turned away due to financial need. If you’re curious or want to learn more, visit their website: www.bchcenter.org/bchcamp/

Saturdays 10:00am, St. Mark's sanctuary

The St. Mark’s Peace Group warmly invites you to join us for Centering Prayer, a quiet, welcoming practice of Christian silent prayer. Together, we rest in God’s presence, deepening our relationship with God.

All are welcome, whether you are new to Centering Prayer or have an established practice. Come as you are and share in a peaceful start to your Saturday.

Prayer Shawl Group

5/8/2026

Picture
Whether you knit, crochet, want to learn, or simply enjoy good company, you’re warmly invited to be part of our Prayer Shawl Group. This is a relaxed, welcoming space where stitches and prayers come together — and new faces are always celebrated.
We offer two ways to join:
  • Wednesday evenings on Zoom at 7:30 pm
  • In‑person gatherings twice a month in the St. Mark’s Common Room
Come to whichever option fits your schedule, or try both.

f you’re already part of the group, consider inviting someone who might enjoy the creativity, companionship, and quiet ministry this circle offers.

For Zoom details, meeting dates, or general information, please contact Pat Dent

Sock-It-To-Me Sundays - Thru May

5/7/2026

Picture
The Confirmation Class has taken over collecting new socks and underwear for homeless families. We have partnered with Medway House, which currently supports seven families, and we need new socks and underwear of all sizes for all genders and ages.

A collection box is located in the Narthex/Foyer. These donations may seem small, but they are essentials that bring comfort, dignity, and warmth. Toss a package into your cart, bring it to church, and help us sock it to the need with love. Thank you for making a difference, one pair at a time!

Mental Health Resource Connection Available for Our Parish Community

5/6/2026

Picture
We are grateful to share a new mental health and social services resource through a partnership between the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, Snug Harbor at St. John the Evangelist, and Care Solace.

Care Solace helps parishioners and their loved ones quickly connect with mental health care, as well as support for housing, food, and medical needs. Services are free, confidential, available 24/7 in 200+ languages.

Call 888-515-7881 or visit www.caresolace.com/diomass to learn more. This resource is here for you, or for someone you love, because caring for mental and emotional well-being is an essential part of caring for the whole person.

A Special Day of Confirmation

5/5/2026

Picture
A Special Day of Confirmation - Saturday, May 9th
On Saturday, we celebrate with joy as parishioners Fritz Ferris and Daniel Burnham are confirmed at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston.

Confirmation is a joyful and public adult reaffirmation of faith and baptismal promises, marked by the laying on of hands by the bishop. The service will be presided over by Bishops Julia Whitworth and Bishop Mary Glasspool.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to Shirley Instasi and Jen Quinn for their thoughtful guidance and dedication in leading the confirmation class. We are also grateful to all in our parish community who signed Fritz’s and Daniel’s prayer shawls and offered blessings and encouragement as they prepare for this meaningful step in their faith journey.

Vestry Highlights – April Meeting

The Vestry approved a new vision statement to guide St. Mark’s as a more vibrant, inclusive, and faithful community. Work continues on building improvements, including upcoming furnace repairs, and a new website platform has been approved to strengthen communication.

St. Mark’s will also participate in Foxborough Founder’s Day on June 6. Vestry remains focused on financial stability, community visibility, facility improvements, and growing lay leadership.

Vestry meetings are open to all and held monthly on the third Monday, 6:30–8:00pm.

Monthly Second Sunday Soap Drive

5/3/2026

Picture
Sunday, May 10th - Deadline to bring liquid laundry detergent donations.

Second Soap Sunday is a call to action to support families served by our Deanery One Family Outreach. Please help St. Mark's meet our monthly goal of collecting 50 bottles of liquid laundry detergent (40–48 oz.) such as those sold at the Dollar Tree for $1.25.

These donations allow One Family to provide each household with a bag of essential items, such as paper towels and other necessities not covered by SNAP benefits. Your contribution makes an important difference for local families—thank you for giving generously.
