Music at St. Mark's
Music at St. Mark’s is a treasured part of our worship life, woven into the heart of our community for generations. Our music library holds nearly a century of choral anthems, bell pieces, and sacred music, reflecting the depth and beauty of our tradition. Each Sunday, our congregation sings from The Hymnal 1982, Wonder, Love, and Praise, and Lift Every Voice and Sing II, and our license allows us to print service music so everyone can participate with ease.
Throughout the year, the Senior Choir joins our music director to lead hymns in rich four‑part harmony and to offer an anthem during communion. Our Bell Choir also shares their gifts at various times, adding a joyful and contemplative sound to worship.
We warmly welcome anyone who feels called to make music—whether singing or ringing. Making music together is a beautiful way to deepen your faith, serve the parish, and share in the joy of community. If you are interested in joining any of our music ministries, please contact the church office or speak with our music director.
Senior Choir
The Senior Choir is open to all who love to sing. No experience is required, and every voice is welcome. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and sings at Sunday services, offering hymns and anthems that enrich our worship. If you feel drawn to be part of this ministry, simply reach out to the church office or speak with our music director after a service.
Bell Choir
The Bell Choir always welcomes new ringers to join this joyful ministry. While it is helpful to be able to read music, no prior bell‑ringing experience is needed—we are happy to teach you. If you are interested but unsure about reading music, please reach out; we would gladly explore forming a beginner group if there is interest. The Bell Choir rehearses on Sundays after the church service. To learn more or express interest, contact the church office or speak with our music director.
