Prayer Shawl MinistryThe prayer shawl ministry at St. Mark’s is a quiet, tender expression of love from our community. Several parishioners knit and crochet these shawls with care, and each one is meant to wrap someone in warmth, comfort, and prayer. They are available to anyone who might need encouragement during illness, hardship, or simply a difficult season. Every child baptized at St. Mark’s also receives one as a reminder that they are held in God’s love and in the love of this parish.
You are welcome to take a shawl at any time if you feel it would bring comfort to someone you know. Many who have received them have shared how deeply they felt supported and remembered. Shawls are kept in the robing room near the sacristy. If you would like to help create shawls for this ministry, we have simple patterns available, or you can find many online by searching for prayer shawl patterns. Every loving stitch carries a prayer: that God’s peace will surround you and keep you in His care. If you would like more information, please contact the church office. |
Ladies Group
The Ladies Fellowship group gathers each month on the fourth Tuesday, sharing time together over either lunch or dinner. Rotating between daytime and evening makes it easier for everyone to join in, no matter their schedule. These gatherings are simply about friendship, laughter, and being with one another.
Women of every age are warmly welcomed. Along with sharing a meal, the group enjoys trying new activities and taking small outings—museums, movies, and other places that spark interest. There have also been many joyful evenings of Bunko, a favorite tradition. More special events are already being dreamed up for the year ahead.

Men's Breakfast
|
The first‑Saturday breakfast is a warm, lively gathering where good food and good company come together. We meet at 8:00 a.m. in the lower level of the church, and the morning always begins with a hot, plentiful, and truly delicious breakfast. Everyone pitches in—some bring food, others cook, set up, or help with cleanup—so it feels like a shared table in every sense.
The conversation is easy and welcoming, and guests don’t need to be part of St. Mark’s to join in. Friends, neighbors, and newcomers are all invited to come along, enjoy a hearty meal, and start the weekend with laughter and connection. For more information, please contact Rob Decker or the church office. |
