The Rev. Lauren Lukason
Lauren Lukason was ordained on December 17, 2020 at St. Paul's Church in Brookline, MA by The Rt. Rev. Gayle Harris. Originally from southwestern Connecticut, Lauren moved to the Boston area in 2007 to pursue masters work in education. As part of answering God's call to ordained ministry, Lauren left Boston for Berkeley, CA in 2011 where she earned her M.Div. from Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP). While at CDSP, Lauren was a seminarian intern at St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church, where she helped to develop, pilot, and run a monthly intergenerational youth-led supper service. Lauren returned to Massachusetts in 2015 to continue her discernment, sponsored by St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brookline. Lauren was a parish intern at St. John's Episcopal Church in Beverly Farms. She has an extensive background in church music, singing in Episcopal/Anglican choir programs from the age of 5-years and eventually serving as the assistant for one of those programs where she directed the elementary and middle school choirs and assisted with the full and high school choirs. Lauren believes that "we make church together" and that children are full members of the Body of Christ from the time they arrive in our communities. Presently Rev Lauren is Curate at both St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Sudbury and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Weston. The primary focus of Lauren's work is with the youth and Christian formation. |
