Christmas Tree Ornaments

1/30/2023

Picture
Candlemas is February 2nd, but we are celebrating it on Sunday, February 5th. This also marks the end of our Christmas season, so the Nativity scenes and Christmas Tree will be taken down after Sunday morning's service.

You may have seen the ornaments on the tree, and many have asked if they could buy some. Of course! We ask for a $5 donation to St. Mark's (per ornament), which you can leave in the Offertory plate or in the office. Thanks again and Happy New Year!!

Men’s Breakfast

1/28/2023

Picture
Our next all-you-can eat breakfast will be on February 4, 2023 at 8 am in the Undercroft and we welcome men of all ages. Kids eat free, all others please contribute $5.  Please try and bring a friend.  Worldwide recognition this year to those that make 8 (or is it 'ate') or more monthly breakfasts!!!  Going forward we will be having Men's Breakfast on the first Saturday of the month at 8 am.

See Rob Decker or contact the church office for more details!

Welcome Onyemah Twins!!

We want to send out a warm welcome to Chidubem Zac and Chizaram Zoe Onyemah, who arrived safely into the world. Mom (Ugonna) and babies are doing well. Congratulations to the whole family, and we look forward to seeing everyone in church!

Trivia Night & Dinner at Trinity Wrentham

1/27/2023

Picture
Trinity Church in Wrentham would like to invite us to a game night. They will be holding a Trivia Night in their parish hall on Saturday, January 28th beginning at 5:30pm.

Appetizers at 5:30pm followed by a simple dinner of soups/chili/bread. Trivia Game to follow and we will end our night with yummy dessert. Trinity will handle all the food and drinks, however, if you would like beer or wine, please bring that with you.

We hope you will consider joining us for what should be a fun evening out in the cold of winter. You don't need to be a jeopardy champion to have fun, you will play on a team and you never know what trivial things you might know to help your team. There will be prizes!

If you are able to join us or have any questions about the night, please contact the St Mark's church office. Hope to see you on January 28th!

2023 ANNUAL MEETING

1/12/2023

Picture
We hope everyone can join us for the Annual Meeting immediately following the 9 a.m. service on Sunday, January 22. We have much information to share as well as elect new leaders of the parish. The Annual Meeting will take place in the Undercroft and a light breakfast will be served. See you there!

Join the Altar Guild

1/12/2023

Picture
Have you ever wondered who takes care of all the candles in the church and the linens on the altar? Who changes the altar cloths for each season and why? Where the bread and wine are stored each week and when it is set up for each Sunday morning service? All this and more is done in the Sacristy with much care and respect by our wonderful Altar Guild!!

Would you like to join them?  The Altar Guild needs more members to help take care of and set up for each Sunday service. All ages and genders welcome!

Please contact Molly Hawthorne or Joanna Eva to join this blessed group of people who make sure our church is ready and looks wonderful each week. They really are amazing!!

1/12/2023
