Help for Migrant Families

9/14/2023

Picture
Migrant families recently arrived in Foxborough need your help.

Foxborough was notified by the Governor’s Office last month that the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities will be renting rooms at a hotel in Foxborough to serve as long term, temporary housing for a number of migrants. As many as 93 families may be placed there on a staggered basis.

St. Mark's is joining other Foxborough faith communities and other community organizations to supply the items on the following list to provide comfort and aid to these families as they regain their footing.

  • Diapers – Sizes: New Born, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
  • Pull Ups - Ages 3-4
  • Undergarments – Adults and Children - all sizes
  • Wipes
  • Feminine products- tampons and pads
  • Deodorant
  • Tooth Brush (individually packaged)
  • Toothpaste
  • Irish Spring or Ivory Bar soap (they are accustomed to this)
  • Suave/Dove shampoo/Conditioner
  • Lotion
  • Fruit pouches
  • Chips, Crackers, Snacks (individually packaged)
  • Juice Boxes
  • NIDO (sold at Walmart)
  • Carnation Milk in the can

Nursery Care Starting

9/14/2023

Picture
Beginning this Sunday, September 17th, there will be someone in the nursery every week during the 9am service. We love having children in the church during the service, but the Nursery downstairs is an option if the kids (or parents) need a break from wiggling in church!

Any questions, please ask Shirley Instasi or the church office.

St. Mark's Ladies Group

9/5/2023

Picture
Our next activity will be Bunko on Sept 26 at 6:00 at St. Mark’s. Hope you can join us. Text Sandy 508-404-4751 or Email [email protected] if you are interested.

For those new to Ladies Group... We meet the 4th Tuesday of each month. In order to accommodate working schedules, we alternate lunch and dinner. We also look for other activities or restaurants when we get
together and enjoy our time and fellowship.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

9/4/2023

Picture
Several St. Mark’s parishioners knit or crochet prayer shawls for the church. They are available for all people to take to give for illness, difficult times or encouragement. We also give one to each child who is baptized at St. Mark’s.

Please feel free to take one if you feel it would help to support someone. We have received many positive  comments of appreciation from those who have received one. They are located in the robing room near the sacristy in a bin. Ask the Ushers, the office, Pastoral Care, or the Altar Guild, and they can get one to you.

If you would like to contribute to this ministry, we have many easy patterns or you can find one on the internet. Search prayer shawl patterns and there will be many you can print.

Any questions, please contact Pat Dent or the church office.

Gift Cards

9/3/2023

Picture
We're still collecting Gift Cards to help those in need.

Currently we're looking for Gift Cards to any popular stores like Stop & Shop, Shaw's, Walmart, Target, etc. Gas cards are also very welcome.

Donations can be left in the secure mailbox at the church or mailed to:
