Episcopal Relief and Development is asking for donations to help with the victims of the wildfires in the town of Lahaina. Please join the Outreach Committee in supporting this effort.

Please pray for the people impacted by the fires. Donations to the Hawaiʻi Emergency Response Fund will support Episcopal Relief & Development and its partners as they respond.

Your credit card payment directly to Episcopal Relief and Development will get the funds to them quickly, but if you would prefer to write a check, please make it out to St Mark’s with “Hawaii wildfire relief” in the memo. You can drop it in the plate on Sunday or at the church office.

Prayer and  Healing Services are held at at our sister church, Trinity Episcopal Church in Wrentham, on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7 PM. These informal gatherings are 45 minutes or less and lead by members of the Spiritual Life Team.

There is singing, lighting of candles in remembrance, praying the Psalms, praying for those who we know need our prayers, prayers for the world... and for each other. There is also laying on of hands for healing. There is no Eucharist. The meetings are held In the church or chapel, depending on the season. All are welcome.

Our special “Second Soap Sunday” collection day is a good reminder, but we actually we collect Laundry Soap continuously. We turn it in on the third Saturday of each month, when the distribution of Household Goods happens in Attleboro, by the One Family program.

​It is separate from the Foxboro Food Pantry, which is why we ask for both at the same time. There will ALWAYS be laundry, and if we can help families in need with that part of life, they can spend more money on food.

Hopefully this helps you understand a little more about who/what/where/when and why we are giving to the community(s).

The next Book Club meeting will be on Friday, September 15 at 4pm at Ellen White’s house in Attleboro. We are reading THE LIONESS OF BOSTON  by Emily Frank.

Looking ahead we will have Bunko on Sept 26 at 6:00 which was postponed from July.

For those new to Ladies Group... We meet the 4th Tuesday of each month. In order to accommodate working schedules, we alternate lunch and dinner. We also look for other activities or restaurants when we get together and enjoy our time and fellowship.
